Using “mapped” movements of a human dancer they create something both unique and unnerving…  My problem here is without this wonderful dancer Laura Keil I highly doubt if this would of been remotely interesting. Still a great work using computers , software and a mysterious dancer shrouded not in clothing but computer bits. This technology is will spread quickly so enjoy it in a very pure form.

Roberts work is all his own and if the new work on his web site is any indication; he is at the top of his game at the moment. He is the sole owner of the creative path he has traveled for more than 35 years. In the art world that is quite an amazing feat.  See why mature work by an extremely inventive and confident master of his medium(s) is such a treat.

Schmidt/Dean Gallery, April 6 to May 11, 2013

In both his straight prints and groundbreaking composites his design sense and composition are truly impeccable. A true international modern master of light, shadow & line. His last exhibition: RAY K. METZKER  Composites 1964-2007 at Laurence Miller Gallery was incredible. You can still find many of his books here.
